Yes, big database sizes are normal if you're on a bigger world. What DH version are you using? Since 2.1, theres compression, which should reduce file sizes drastically

if i deleted the .sqlite file would any problems happen with the game is there an easy way to reset your distant horizons data

You can reset the LODs by just deleting the Database Deleting the Database won't cause any problems, it will just delete all LODs You could possibly make a script that deletes all LODs outside of a specific range, if you don't want to delete the LODs near your base
