my overlay wont display my chat.
previously, my overlay was showing chat and was showing everything normal. as of recent, it does now want to show text messages from chat. any ideas? nothing was directly changed to affect this.

No im not.
Basically what was happening was recently my chat display wasnt showing on stream when it should have been. I set the link into obs properly and it wont work when it worked before. Other pop ups like a follow or a raid work, but not chat
Like even previous streams you can see chat working as intended and normal. Now it just doesn’t
Does it work in the builder?
No. Unless I specifically add in a command where its !on which i didnt need before. I will do a test stream rn. If the command doesnt work, then idk

Omg i think i found the damn problem. Its because of a stupid nest layer that i have to add that i didnt before. Gimme like 5 minutes to test that theory fully

Its appearing the messages inside the builder, but not on stream
Now its just way too huge. How the hell did this happen? I close the tab for a moment and everything is gone
With your overlay open in the builder, go to your Twitch channel and type a message in your chat. Does the message show?
It does in builder, not in stream. Imma reset obs
Can you also try the same thing, but instead of the builder, go to your stream URL in browser
I had someone else in chat who was on the browser to watch my stream and stream elements. Both popped in builder, not on stream

Yeah its another thing thats commonly used.
It didnt interfere with this either

It's good that it works in the builder, but there might be something wrong with the stream URL

@Venomous Ghost, can you confirm that this is fixed now?
(I think there is a minor issue in the builder where the test messages only appear after a real message happens, but real messages should be showing just fine)
