Question about SOTH performence on laptop
If I have a laptop with i7-8750h, GeForce GTX 1650 and 16 GB RAM, can I count on playing SOTF with satisfactory graphics and without large fps drops?

no that gpu wont be able to play the game at 60 fps with anything higher then low settings

I mean, it will work to play thegame but not a great experience since it's a laptop on 8th generation i7
yes it will work but it wont make more them 60 fps if not in low settings and even in low it might not be able to push 60 fps
SOTF is much more dependent on your CPU than it is on your GPU
ik but that gpu is worse then a 1060 so i think the gpu is the problem here
and also its a 50 model which always suck

FPS isn't just dependent on one component, you've got to keep in mind he's using a laptop so all the components in there are inferior to their desktop counterparts

well in this case the gpu (desktop version) is not even good enough to do low settings and push over 70 fps. So i dont see how the cpu can be a big problem since its actually not that bad of a cpu even tho its a laptop one. I am sure that it is the gpu that will cause the low framerates because the gtx 1650 is horrible

I used the GTX 1650 to play Half Life ALYX for the first time
that's a VR game
the GTX 1650 isn't "horrible"
it's just not good for SOTF
it's a low VRAM card
SOTF loves VRAM
hence the performance
also 8th generation i7 isn't a bad CPU but it is an old CPU
my i7-8700K struggled in SOTF
alr let me explain it for u. There is no bad gpus only bad prices and since the gtx 1650 is overpriced as god knows what it becomes a bad gpu because its performance is not that good and its price is even worse which makes it a bad gpu

so if prices are high there then used prices are gonna be higher
