certain environments ruin the camera
having an issue where i can't use the camera with specific environments otherwise the color is dulled

Interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if that's due to the fog levels in the scene. Might try to take one of those environments and dial the fog slider to zero and see what happens. Just a guess, I have no actual idea. What environments are they?

Basically most environments except black, white, and space
I think it might be because I’m very far zoomed out
Yes on the menu where you can change environments, there's something like "customize environment" (icon on the right)
You can change the sun and moon colors. At the bottom of the screen there's a mountain range thing with a slider above it.
You can draw that all the way to the left and it changes the lighting substantially.
Not entirely sure how it works, haven't looked at it closely, but it might affect diffusion or other properties that are exported Might also interact with post-processing settings if you have them on, you can set that to false in the config.
