Help with home IP to domain issue
At First, I start with doing port forwarding then added firewall then start up the server up join in 2nd computer later bought a domain in name.com put home IP, server port and name IP for the server but some reason the server keeping using home IP instead of domain

server will always use the home ip.
all a domain lets u do is create an alias. it wont ever hide ur home ip.
Share how u setup your dns records so we can figure out what the issue is
the A record is supposed to be jst what you want in front, and u dont need an srv record for 25565
so lets say you bought a domain
if you wanted players to be able to typeexample.comand your server has an ip of123.45.678.90:25565
mc.example.com, you would need to create an A record on your domain
the host should just be mc and the answer should be 123.45.678.90
and thats it!so like this if so it's didn't work

like you can connect through both domain and ip, setting up a domain doesnt stop people from connecting through the normal ip btw

I want to hide my home IP by using different IP and people's join the server as well

you need to use a service like tcpshield if you want to hide the ip connected to the domain
or by using a vps on another network
I been trying to IP connected to the domain some reason it's not working well
most routers doesnt support hair pin nat so you wont be able to
you would need to use the internal ip of the machine
or localhost if its on the same machine as the one you play on
I look up the my routers does support it but it's call NAT Loopback instead

Once again. If ur server is on port 25565, you do not need an srv record
dns will take some time to propagate
The Minecraft client automatically assigns the 25565 port if u donβt give it a port
