First layer issues after Ratrig Toolhead upgrade
So, I splurged and bought a new Ratrig Toolhead with all the bits & bobs. Rapido UHF, Orbiter 2, even got myself a beacon. Everything installed and homed in - and that is when the trouble starts.
For the love of me I cannot get a decent first layer. The blob-tower nozzle wipe works fine, but already when printing the edge of a first layer it goes to pieces. The rim looks under extruded, and the nozzle starts to roll up the PLA. I'm lost - any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you of RATOS 2.1 RC? If not I would suggest installing it and go through the calibration procedure.
I'm on the main RatOS 2 version - I looked at the RC site; is the install just the same with balena etcher?
lol and now it sends my video's
oh just found the image on the site. Will try it
Some people have had problems with the latest balena etcher, if so, the earlier .18 version is reported stable. Also, make sure you are on the Helge 2.1 calibration page on github.
What cgrr said, if you're using Beacon you should really grab Ratos 2.1
Right, installed the RC - will keep you posted on progress 🙂
Good luck!
@cgrr what do you mean with the 2.1 calibration page? Is this a separate download?
Not a separate download, but usage documentation, i, e. g-code changes https://github.com/HelgeKeck/RatOS/blob/documentation_v2.1/site/docs/slicers.md#orca-slicer among otthers, just go through the whole thing.

cool, just did the PID tuning moving to the beacon now
It started off a little better but after this the same troubles. I'm going to leave it for tonight and try again tomorrow 😉
thats a really inconsistent skirt. Good look on the morrow
Since your corners are lifting it would seem that you are too high or the filament is not adhering. One thing you have to be careful about is crud accumulation on the nozzle because it will throw off beacon touch offset.
