Packetloss and Ping spike in mumbai and singapore server
I have been facing ping and packet loss issues in Valorant since may 2024 . My ping used to be 21ms with no packet loss and now i'm getting close to 30ms with packet loss. My latencies (Chennai, ACT FIBERNET) Used to be : 21ms Currently : 28ms (packet loss) My friends latencies (Hyderabad, ACT Fibernet) Used to be : 14ms Currently : 22ms (packet loss)
ig last week, riot did network maitenence but still am getting ping spike and packetloss in both mumbai server and singapore server, i did tracert for mumbai server ip, first two runing then 3-8 request time out and remaining 9-11 runing(image atttached below ) i said this to my ISP, they said because some address are hidden,
but i m not sure they saying true or not, it is true that some ip are hidden in tracert, i even did ping plotter for mumbai server ip address.
i sent the report of tracert of mumbai server to my ISP backend team, they said they only accept cmd tracert, and not third party(ping plotter), they also said, you getting below 1ms,2ms in tracert, you already have shortest distance from act to mumbai server.
then why im getting ping spike and pacektloss

@A I M 乂 0P yo, I think we already said whats the problem here for ACT few times across multiple threads, but a TLDR is that they dont have presence currently in Mumbai, where Riots Valorant servers are. ACT is relying on a so called transit providers to get to Mumbai, this a third party company, so obviously this is causing delays and higher ping or even packet loss if congestion is a factor. The trace you have there is not towards Mumbai servers thats not our IP, you can use the pingable and tracable anycast IP for Mumbai

^ until ACT gets a physical connection in Mumbai you wont get better latency or less ploss. for the record we reached out to them with the proposal few times. Also btw sub 30ms is very playable for Valorant. :Iso_GG:so new ip address of mumbai is what you mentioned?
not new, the .0 is pingable and traceble for ISPs to check their routing towards, it will direct them to our nearest POP
but you can use it as well to test your latency
there is so much delay , while pinging i can see that ms different
i was sending them old two ip address to them, in that it was showing 2ms. but now 27 ms

@Rishikesh my friend I am not sure how else I can help you here, you have sub 30ms ping I understand it can be lower, but give what I said ACT needs to have presence in Mumbai in order for that to happen.

I used to get properly ping there but from last two month ,am getting ping spike and sometime packetloss there in sg server,
