Connection timed out: getsockopt
Hello, I have been self hosting a 1.21 fabric minecraft server for about a month with no issues. The server is being hosted on an ubuntu server running pelican panel. According to the panel the node and server are both in healthy condition and the server starts up successfully.
When trying to join the server from a client, a connection timed out error pops up. This server was running no issues for over a month not sure what happened. Seems like a firewall issue so I double checked the port forwarding on the router as well as the open ports on my server and all is well. I have been all over google but can't find a fix. Any help is so appreciated.

try running tcpdump port 25565 in the terminal and see if the server is receiving the traffic at all
Do you use a domain? Maybe it's a DNS issue.
Have you verified that your public IP hasn't changed? Can you check the firewall logs on your router? How about a
ping
or tracert
to your IP+port?
If you haven't already, give the router, MC server and Ubuntu server a reboot (good opportunity to apply updates too!)My IP in fact changed. I changed the DNS record and all is well. Thank you. Also thank you to Quanto and ProGamingDK
