not gaining XP after leaving voice calls
for whatever reason, i dont get XP even after being in a voice call actively talking for hours but my peers do

im the only one not getting XP
Have the been in the voice channel for the entire time? From my understanding Kiai only calculates and rewards XP once the session has been ended. This means the member must have left the voice channel for at least 10 seconds.

my friend and i vced for like
5 hours
and i didnt get anything
but they leveled up once
we're the same level as well
So just to double check, the XP still wasn't rewarded to you after leaving the voice channel?

Hi @! filo ໒꒱ ‧₊, developer here. If you know how to, could you send me the ID or username of your friend? You can get the their ID by:
1. Going to your Discord settings > Advanced
2. Turn on "Developer Mode"
3. Go to your server, right-click on the profile picture of your friend, and click Copy ID

Hi @! filo ໒꒱ ‧₊ . I think I've found out why you've not been getting voice XP for the last several days. It seem that around 5 days ago you left a VC while the bot was down for 1–2 minutes because we were deploying an update. Because of that, the bot never detected you as leaving the channel. This is of course not your fault and just a unlucky coincidence. The bot currently thinks you've been in VC for 5 days
If you can tell me how much time you think you've spent in VC over the last 5 days, I can add the appropriate amount of XP to you through the voice XP system
ive vced everyday for average 4-5 hours
BUT
i have given myself levels
in that case i can give you 15 000 XP bumping you up to level 59?
That's fine, what you do with Kiai and the XP commands is not our concern. I'm just offering this so that you get roughly the amount of XP you should have gained through voice over the past 5 days. Either way, I'm glad that this was not a bug in the bot and just an unlucky coincidence!

@net-tech-i just left a vc and didnt get any levels again
was in vc for about 7 hours
i got 700xp
but my friend leveled up twice and was in vc for less time than me
looking into it

@! filo ໒꒱ ‧₊ Looking at the logs, both you and your friend leveled up by two levels. You leveled up from level 48 to level 50 and they leveled up from level 51 to level 53
no i was already level 50
the first screenshot was the day before
it actually only gave me 200xp

I just checked the dates and yes your 48 -> 50 level up was <t:1723059412>
then you had one from 50 -> 51 on <t:1723186690>
and for your friend i see 51 -> 53 on <t:1723142700>
were you muted in the vc?

You don't gain XP for any time during the VC you are muted
the bot calculates how long you were muted and deafened
and subtracts that from how long you were in the channel
i dont think i was muted for that long though

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce the issue you're experiencing nor are there any errors on our end which makes it hard. to find a solution. I would recommend checking your denylists and settings
