I'm trying to redefine the world with DH, but there are parts that are black or that simply won't load.

If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive settings of CPU Load. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering and Show World Gen Queue to True.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)You can try the second part to see if it is still busy generating new chunks
I'm not sure what you mean with the black parts though. I do see some darker stuff to the right of the pic, but it looks like there is some darker block like desolate or Blackstone there, no?
No, the part where it's black is where there's grass and cobblestone.
I'll try to use the second part.
If I try to leave my spawn area and then return, this bug appears.
And now there was an error in some chunks.
Oh weird. I'm not sure why that is happening then.
That can happen when you move too fast. Vanilla chunk loading can't keep up
That happens because Mojang renamed minecraft:grass to minecraft:short_grass. You can ignore that error

Very strange, but I don't think there's anything you can do. I'm going to uninstall the mod until the poor guy here buys a good computer when he can afford it.
But it's really a shame not to be able to enjoy this beautiful mod.
