Women's rugby on a man?
I've been looking at rugby's and found a great deal on a women's one: https://usa-wear.com/ostore/index.php?route=product/product&path=68_80_81&product_id=149.
The equivalent man's one is out of stock in my size. I'm size small, but have fairly wide shoulders. Would anyone notice this is for women or no?

It’s unlikely that it will be noticeable (that meaning: cut in a way that does not work with your physique at all)but check the measurements to be sure.
this looks pretty boxy so id encourage you to check the waist size against yours
but if that works i dont see why it wouldnt fit
Thanks for the help. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to compare my measurements with the listed garment ones. I have a 36 inch chest and 27 inch waist. I've been mainly comparing the measurements to the men's version: https://usa-wear.com/ostore/index.php?route=product/product&path=64_59_61&product_id=117. The difference between women's medium and men's small seems to be the pit length (which I think is ok) and the shoulder length which might not be (Idk how to check)
you'll notice that the ratio between the shoulder and waist (sweep in the women's) is different
where in the womens the sweep is wider than the shoulder
Check with a garment that fits you well
Do you know if that kind of ratio would look ok on a man?
Should I compare with a shirt or a sweater? Never owned a rugby so I'm not sure what type of garment is most comparable
We are all different people- there’s no universal ‘a man’. Check the waist measurement against your waist for the one that fits your shoulders
If there’s a lot of space/extra material you might see it fit differently than you’re expecting
Sorry this reads as a little snippy not intended
No it's fine, I appreciate the help
Well I measured a bit of a loose fit OCBD that I have. That sweep is 19 inches compared to the 21 1/2 for women and the 20 inch that the men's version has. I think that's a big difference?
how do you want the rugby shirt to fit
i typically assume rugby shirts are meant to be somewhat relaxed fitting so i imagine the sweep would be fine imo
