How to make leaves look better?

I don't remember leaves looking so bland in DH with shaders? They stand out a lot and don't seem to get affected by shadows. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm playing on 1.21 with DH 2.1.2 and bliss shaders.

Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot. We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait. If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.

I sadly don't know how to fix your issue, but what I am looking at is not how DH is supposed to look like. Just so you don't get worried that this could be normal.
