How can i play on a server hosted on my laptop with my brother without port forwarding
Hello,
I have created my own spigot server with a few plugins. How do i play with my brother without port forwarding it because we're on the same network. But the ip "localhost" doesnt work for him.

You could try getting your internal ip adress (look up on google how to do it) and letting your brother connect to it
like js my ip?

i just downloaded the server file and set it up

it could also be your firewall blocking the connections
but normally should it work
like putting localhost as ip on another device

Its a diff computer yes
You open up command prompt on the host machine, type "ipconfig" and use the IPv4 address in that box on the other computer.

Make sure both devices are set to private networks. Google it if you don't know how to do that

i tried completely turning off firewall on both devices and still wouldnt work ðŸ˜
