Not all 128 chunks loading in singleplayer
I use 1.20.4 fabric with the basic mods and no shaders. The Enable Distant Generation button is on but it still doesn't work. I've tried a chunk pregenerator but still nothing.

chunk generation takes a long time. to see if it is working you can try the following:

If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive settings of CPU Load. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering and Show World Gen Queue to True.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)Can you tell me all the mods that you use

128 chunks can take 30 minutes to generate on the top end cpu's
i think he mean he saw no changes

Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
btw gpu usage is on "i paid for all gpu"\

yea, DH relies on mojangs world gen code, which is slow
I've seen on yt that it happened in like seconds or minutes
