shirt to style a navy wool bedford and linen trousers
Hey,
So I've ordered vintage linen trousers (see attached) and I have a navy tropical wool EG bedford and black paraboot chambords. What shirt would be really cool to style with these pairings? Did a Bedford search on the server and this is what spoke the most to me: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1142196512034668594/1213567273877635204

I could do an ocbd but that feels boring?
Plus I feel like my OCBDs are a bit too slim...
Will these trousers being on the formal end be a problem?
Ethan had loads of examples of summer / warm weather looks in his recent post that you might draw inspo from https://alittlebitofrest.com/2024/07/28/how-to-stay-excited-to-dress-up-when-its-warm/
Especially scrolling towards the bottom of the inspo album

Less snarky I really would just wear them. I have a similar pair that's a bit more of a cream color. They're really easy to wear imo and especially with how you describe your style.
chambray shirt, a fun camp collar shirt, a summer knit or polo type shirt, ribbed tank, madras, a summer western like the Wythe black tencel shirt is an option. Work shirts like what Ethan (not Wong) is wearing in tun's pics
I don't think there's a shirt in my closet that I couldn't make work with pants like that in all honesty
Thank you both
I'm thinking something a bit less workwear or western
I've seen some cool vintage rayons from PRL (attached is an example, it's 85% rayon 15% wool)
Any recs for rayon shirts vintage or new?
I mean these PRL ones are just tartan patterns but it's pretty
Anyone know how thick the EG 19th century oxfords are? Thinking one with a pattern could be cool
