What are you connecting to it?
my switch
and the monitor shows my gameplay but obs not
screenshot your capture device settings?
where do i do that?
sorry im totally new to this stuff
the video capture device properties window
for how you added it to obs
take a screenshot of it and post it here
Can't help if we can't see how you have things set up
You can hit Win+Shift+S to pull up the snipping tool to screenshot
thank u
is this what u mean?
yes
I see you have a few different capture cards added to the scene, and the preview is blank
usually that means something else is using up the connecting to the capture card, lcoking out the current device
what are these?>
you have two more capture cards there, what are they
idk nothing
GG @mesanne, you just advanced to level 1 !
if you're not using them, they need deleted from your scenes - they can be interfering
okay i will try that
and wich do i need to keep then?
i can't tell you that, I don't know which you're using lol
but still not working
do u mean my scenes or my sources?
sorry im dumb that i dont get it
there's still a second one there
Close OBS. Hit start, open the windows "Camera" app
Use this button to change the camera until it loads the elgato and see if it works there
You have extra unused capture card sources in your OBS scenes and it's likely hooking and blocking the elgato from working in the device source you're trying to use it in
it still doenst work
And you have the switch connected to the Elgato and it’s displaying on your other monitor/TV?
yes i get the switch in my hdmi channel and can play but obs dont see it
tho it led is on
What does “in my hdmi channel” mean?
on my monitor its hdmi screen
just to confirm, that's connected to the elgato and then the monitor, yes?
yes
the hdmi in is on my switch and hdmi out is in my monitor
You could try going in to the video capture device properties
and for device format/resolution, change from "device default" to 1920x1080
did that still no signal
GG @mesanne, you just advanced to level 2 !
Not sure then, I'd reach out to Elgato support
make sure you reboot
but
otherwise
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can you double check that the HDMI from the switch is going to the HDMI input of the capture and not the HDMI output port of the capture card
