The second "usage" should be "estimated usage". It just extrapolates from how much you used. It isn't perfect. But you have only actually used $0.01 in "current usage". So really, really low.

This is what it looks like without the words cut off The UI shouldn't be cutting those words off

Also, with the hobby plan, you get $5 (the cost of the plan) as a "gift". As in, you are charged a minimum of $5 a month. But you are only charged on usage. IE, if you use $7 of resources, you are charged $7 for the month. And if you use $3 of resources for the month, you are charged $5 for that month. Does this make sense?

Yeh it make sense You mean minimum of 5$ will be charged even if I use less resources And above that even if I go i will only be charged 5 - the usage Why 3 it should be 2 or 3?

Got it Another thing I would like to confirm 5$ worth of space in db is free right? Monthly?

Yea. The cost of the plan. It is a very good system. Lets them keep the lights on while also not pushing a high cost onto the user. $5 of total usage. Be that CPU, Mem, or storage space.

Oh above that how much I will be charged on db side?

Right. Lets say you have usage that looks like: $1 on CPU $4 on memory $2 on disk $1 on network egress You would be charged $8 for that month But if you had usage that looked like: $0 on CPU $2 on memory $1 on disk $0 on network egress You would be charged $5 for that month. DB is "disk" space. Assuming you are using a volume on railway.

As for how much does a postgres db cost a month? Well, exact number is hard to say. But it should be less than this. You can play around with numbers on https://railway.app/pricing
