Duplicated player.
I was using Iris shaders on Fabric 1.20.6 with other mods and a client. Irirs was causing me to see double of stuff that was on players from time to time depending on distance and other stuff. It could be affected by the client im using i dont know but its a weird bug. thought i'd share it just in case.

Would you happen to be using clients like meteor?

wasnt sure if that was the leading cause to the issue
Try disabling everything in it
And see if it’s that
