Hi, I'm planning on making a basic facial recognition app which makes use of using a CNN. I don't know very much on how it will all work, but I've locked in my option so I'm going to have to make something. I was wondering how difficult it would be to train and then incorporate my neural network to an application like this :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBomaK2ARyI&t=1088s,
As I plan on making the application a very basic log in system

You don't really need to train it. You can use a pretrained model. Then it's trivial to do.
Training models is no fun. It's just tweaking numbers, unless you're really deep into the theory, in which case you might be able to have an idea of what to tweak
The theory itself is pretty interesting, but it requires a wide math background. Probability, calculus and linear algebra mostly
If you want to learn programming, ML theory is not the best place imo
I made similar application when I was in university. It is not so hard to make any deals with face recognition since we have many open source libraries. I personally was using OpenCV and it was like 20 lines of code
Ah ok
In that case I'll pretend to train a model or something in the report
Since they don't really check
If I do have to train one, anyway I can make it a lot easier
you can risk telling them the model was not required to be trained π
Might be a bit hard
Since from my current 10k word document - I've written that I'd train the model about a dozen time

@AceChewy I can't help you technically, I'm affraid, just wanna say that I respect sincerity between teachers and students, could make the world much better
