I tried increasing the render distance in DH but no help 😦
can you share logs please?
/logsstored
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.should i close the game before sending logs
@Puhpine (GMT +2)
yes, thats probably better
this --
try installing indium
its there
according to the logs its not
you are running minecraft from a different folder than that one
you have different mods listed there than what is in the logs
umm
wait a sec
different iris version, different minecraft version
etc.
this one ?
yes that looks like the correct one
Ok i sent wrong one by mistake 😅😅
srry
no problem
do you have a compatible shader?
i am using one listed in that github link

and you have v1.6?
?
DH ?
version 1.6 of the shader
le me check
dont upload zip files please
K
they can contain viruses
Ok
you can try downloading version 1.6, replacing your current version with it, and seeing if that makes a difference
Well , i think i have wrong virsion
le me check
alright
I should be able to see really far ( more than shown in image ) right ?
if you waited long enough, yes
a good test to see if DH is working is setting your render distance to 2
Then what will happed ?
i shoudl still be able to see far ?
if DH works, you can see lower quality terrain
Well can u tell best shader pack for DH
I will see
i personally like photon and complementary
I want one that are not tooo high end
i have a mid gaming latop
most shaders will still look fine when you set the quality preset to the lowest
K
The world gen is super slow 😦
complementary has problems with water transition
what cpu load are you at in DH's settings?
I was at aggeresive for soem tiem
now at balanced
its not perfect, but its not bad either
cause i got hot
try turning down all graphics settings, setting cpu load to aggresive or i paid for the whole cpu, and waiting 5 minutes
Hmm
chunk generation takes time, because DH relies on mojangs slow world gen code
Rip
:cou:
I am also usign custom terrain mods
i think thats a problem
it shouldnt be
but who knows

i wanted this look , even if for a little while - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NruFXLqOi8

Iris -

that will take a long time to generate
like days
it is heavily dependend on what cpu you have though
Hmm
and it stats all over again if game closes ?
@Puhpine (GMT +2)
?
it should remember the chunks that were loaded
So it will be faster next time
What if i use chunky
if you look at it that way, i guess so
/chunky
Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
I am asking if chunky will be faster @Puhpine (GMT +2)
it wont
and it will only create problems like seen in the picture
Ohk
what should i set in DH quality setting
whatever is a good balance between fps and quality for you
when i am going to previously generate Place it it reloading
and showing like this
looks like vanilla chunk loading cant keep up
that can happen when you move too fast
Hmm
j
k
Ok
It is starting to look something 🙂
nice!
reducting render distance will help ?
vanilla render distance
it could, but the best way to mitigate it is by moving slower
well yeh i am in creative so i am moveign a bit fast
will the entire view generate automaticllay if i just stand in oen place
?
yes
.
Hmm how long for 128 chunks ?
k
shoudl i dissbale shader for that
depends on your cpu, but for reference, on my 7800x3d it takes just under half an hour
yes
if i reduce vanilla render distaance, will it also decrese teh speed ?
or increase
slightly increase
what if i reduce frame rate to 20 fps
that will also give a slight increase
urgh , what will give most increase
everything you just said at once
lol
ok
what do minmap level do ?
im not sure
i dont know how big of an performance cost minmap gives
k
hey i changed the quality in DH , at it started generated again 😦 😦
@Puhpine (GMT +2) , Should that be happening 😦
it should only reload the chunks, which will be a lot faster then generating them
ok
I see a good amt of fog with these low setting for some reason "-"
can you send an ss of what you mean?
It was different with shaders enabled though
you can tune the fog when shaders are not enabled under advanced, graphics, fog, advanced
ty
@Puhpine (GMT +2) can you tell which shader is being used int his video ?
bliss
i went to bliss page but it says no Dh support
