screen tearing with Avermedia GFC573 capture card and cloned display capture

So I tried to record some TF2 gameplay and I've been getting screen tearing on the capture card side (avermedia GC573) when I was cloning that with my main rig's monitor which is running in 144Hz + GSYNC on. Capture card is 60 Hz. So this is probably due to mismatching rates so would I change my main's monitor rate down to 60Hz, or should I just install OBS on the main computer too and add in a game capture and display capture source and call it a day? I'm not sure about the latter due to concerns of using up resources or losing performance.

Cloning usually means more tearing. Non-even multiples of 60 means more tearing/frame pacing issues Cloning a GSync display to a card that doesn’t support GSync adds even more tearing You’ve got the worst combination here Just capture locally
