Whenever I sprint the joystick gets locked in sprint

In the customize buttons section, you can increase or decrease the length at which the Auto-Sprint is triggered. In your case, you should increase it.
You can also adjust your Sprint Sensitivity settings.
I tried both but it’s not working

You need to decrease your Sprint Sensitivity.

If you mean this icon, it is to indicate that you are sprinting. It does not affect your movement.
Your character will stop moving when you lift your finger up.
