Tie for a grey suit
Hey!
I'm looking for a tie and a pocket square. I was thinking to go for something blue/navy but I'm not sure if that goes well with the brown shoes.
What do you think?

if i go off the mannequin behind you a dark red would be nice in my opinion
could also see navy or dark purple, either as a solid tie or a simple pattern that you like
for a pocket square i usually favor white (if i wear it at all) but i think an easy alternative is matching the color to the tie, just with a different pattern/print
I’ll echo the burgundy or deep purple tie. Either will look great with any color suit/dress shirt combo
Electric blue could be nice for a tie?
I'll try out red/purple. Thanks for the suggestions!
Disagree
As gray goes, it looks like a fairly light shade. Whatever color tie you go with, I’d look for something darker than that gray — whether dark red/burgundy, blue, or whatever. My personal preference, might not be yours.
As for a pocket square, white would work, of course. Otherwise I just would stay away from something too matchy-matchy with your tie. Like if the tie has a main color, the pocket square could have that color but not as its main color.
With that collar, I’d think about using a Pratt knot. If you go with a four-in-hand, it should be a pretty thick tie.
