Idk how to approach this Q. The answer given is (2). In the Q, what part tells us that the car is moving in opp direction??

the car is going in the positive x-axis (i) so the flag will move in opposite direction (-ve x-axis(-i))- now just vectorially add the two velocity vectors and divide them by the magnitude to get direction vector

Ig u can just assume the car to be going in any direction +x or -x or by looking at the options u can see none of the option contain 13 as the magnitude of resultant vector in denominator so it must be going in the -x

Car moves in +ve/-ve direction, the flag here moves in the opposite direction of car
