Auto-updating mods on Modrinth Launcher? 1.20.6 -> 1.21

Is it possible for the Modrinth Launcher to automatically update mods to the new version after you change the Minecraft version in options? Obviously not all will have updates but it still seems to think I'm on 1.20.6 rather than 1.21 (see 2nd pic).

ive tried prism, and tbh i fkn hate it i heard lots of great things so i tried it one day, and was like wtf why do people like it ui is just not good, its just a fork of multimc. only thing going for it is not buggy and it supports curseforge packs natively. modrinth app still super in alpha and surprisngly has very few bugs. Its quite impressive how nice it is with how new it is. got lots of room to grow. Unfortunately it'll never support curseforge packs. so what i do, is use prism, install the curseforge pack, then import it into modrinth so i can use an actual nice launcher when u switch the versions, try restarting the app. you should see an Update All button in the profile page. The only issue then is if certain mods haven't update, modrinth doesnt auto disable those mods. So you'll have to manually disable them. Moreso an issue with the mods not updating, (or the developers not properly updating it on the site) not a launcher problem

That's what I love from prism lol Extremely simple UI, learning it took me no time And it's beyond light weight. This is vital for my craptop

eh, simple ya, not intuitive at all tho and pretty low quality. it just works. thats it. (which is a very valid selling point) to me just feels like a shitty DIY project u do at home. works great, but if u had the option to have the real deal you'd take the offer. you only settle for DIY stuff if u cant afford, or other stuff doesnt work

also modrinth launcher is riddled with ads and bulky ui. at least prism is customizable, minimalist, and lightweight

"modrinth launcher is riddle with ads" ??? XD u can flame the ui, or bugs or being lightweight, but saying/complaining about it being riddled with ads just completely invalidates ur entire argument. i hope ur confusing it with the curseforge launcher.

any ads = too many ads

theres not a single instrusive ad in the modrinth app keep coping with your shitty prism launcher

QarthO•8mo ago
there’s only a single ad. On every mod/modpack page there’s a very very small/minimalistic static banner (that’s built into the ui, so not distinguishable as an ad) And 100% of the net profit after paying for the site/modrinth goes directly to the developers of the mods/plugins.

exactly, its a win win non intrusive

Complaining about the ads on modrinth is funny tho. When entire philosophy of modrinth is to have as little ad real estate as possible with the only intention to keep the site afloat. Not be greedy. They even have strict guidelines on the maximum size of ads allowed on a page, (can’t be greater than 120px tall banner) This can include ads project authors themselves included on description
