Is there a beginners guide to building displays with wilhelmsk or youtubes showing the process.
Are there similar display packages that will run directly on webpages from the pi server or on a samsung phone?

Sorry, no videos or guides. What do you need help with?
KIP is a web based app that displays in web browsers
wsk is fairly intuitive.. but you need to experiment to understand the different guages and what they can do,
its very powerful.
..more than happy to answer questions and provide guidance.
i will put snapshots below of some of my dashboards- these demonstrate a lot of guage types.
ask away ..
5 years ago I built a signalk system and used wsk and muddled my way through building some very nice displays, infact because of the displays I have been reluctant to convert to commercial hardware.
Things do not get better with age, I am talking about my age, and I can't even seem to add new insterments or resize them on my existing displays. Also I am seeing insterments such as your example with a digital display in the analog insterment and have only seen that in a tac meter.
So for basics how do you add insterments and resize them, how do you delete insterments.
the best way to do it is thru the
settings/layouts & templates tab.
once younhavevthat open, you will see the templtes in top section that are in the selected “your pages” (aka the group of dashboards you have selected)
you can drag new templates into this area. and you can define a new template.
double tap the desired tempate tomedit it.
add guages using the buttons at top, drag resize and position them etc.
touch and hold the guage (its always AWS by default when you add new guages)
once it opens, you can then selectbthe guage type, give it a name, select the skpath it gets its data from,
then customise the guage .
did you have a look at the annotation example here,
https://github.com/gregsyoung/WilhelmSK-SignalK
it shows the guge “type” that is used for respective examples
the “digital display inside an anlog meter”.. i think your reffering to a “circle guage” type
hopefully that has helped point you a little.
do let me know if i cannhelp further.
unfortunately i dont produce youtube or similar vids.
but there may be a way i can show you in “semi real time”..
Thank you, I have not had a chance to try anything yet as I have been involved in running sailing races in the Columbia George and sitting out using my boat for the committee start boat. Not conducive to much programing.
