1mm nozzle prime blob dangerously big

Hi guys, I'm just trying out a 1mm nozzle. Prime blob seemed fine until I set the nozzle to 1mm in ratos because mid print I got the extrusion limit error because the printer was probably still in 0.4 nozzle mode.

I reverted the nozzle setting in my printer.cfg and went for the max_extrude_cross_section setting that I increased to 50. Blob seems to print normal again

is your rotation distance on the Z Axis right?

Yes that seems correct, never changed anything there. It's printing fine now with removing the 1mm nozzle from my printer.cfg and adding the max extrude cross section command at 50

Looks like the equation to calculate the extruded amount might be a little off 😂 Did the bridging afterwards work fine? Ie is the size of the blob the only issue I can make sense of that (i'm multiplying all of the extrusion lengths currently, probably don't need to scale the blob over a certain size) in fact it should probably be the same size always

I haven't ran it further with those settings, I removed the nozzle from my cfg and added the cross section limit, after that everything seems to work as expected

I meant the bridge from the blob, looks OK in your pic. But the fact it's working OK with a 0.4mm configured confirms that we don't need to scale blob size, only the way it's extruded.
