theres a guy who can get everyone ip on the server, he basically does the regular yapping and says that he will swat and ddos people, is there a way to just not make him able to see ips with whatever exploit he suses

best thing I can tell you is to check whether you've exposed permissions
Essentials has a
/whois command I think which can dump user info, incl IP addr
so check what plugins you have and that you haven't accidentally given out a permissionAlso confirm with the staff that
1. It is actually their IPs
2. They didn’t do anything themselves to expose their public IPs, like clicking on links from the guy or joining a server he has perms in

IP leaking means something since as they said someone can ddos your wifi etc. but I don't think that you should be paranoid that someone will come to your house

eg. You know that I live in New York, if you haven't leaked your name or something more sensitive it will be impossible to find you

TLDR:
1. Verify that it's staff's ip, look into logs for when they connect
2. See which commands you gave to the staff maybe that's staff's alt account and they just did /whois
3. Don't give console to anybody
4. If it's staff's ip ask if they clicked on sketchy links

There's no way he can just "pull" IPs from a server, that's not how the protocol works. He either got the IPs from outside of Minecraft and he's lying, or there's a major vulnerability in one of your plugins

In Germany it's basically not a problem at all, even if you're doing cyber crime(not extreme ofc). ISPs aren't allowed to log DNS requests, intercept any traffic or log what IP is assigned to what customer for more than 7 days(this may just be FreeNet with the 7 day thing, but there's 100% a limit)
I kinda banned one of those morons and he went as far as asking others to run a openvpn server so that they bypass the antivpn 😭
