is it possible to taper a straight cut jeans around the knee, thus creating a bootcut?
Hi everyone. Basically see the question above. I have a jean in a very relaxed straight cut (10'' wide hem) and was wondering if I could have a tailor just narrow it in some places along the leg to turn it into a bootcut? Or is this a stupid idea?

Pretty much everything is possible if it involves removing fabric. Just depends how skilled your tailor is and how much you're willing to spend.
Its propably not the most economic thing, but its propably a lot more ecological than buying another pair of jeans. I guess I will ask my tailor about it the next time I see her - she is usually brutally honest about both stupid ideas as well as things that she is not capable of.
