Equal tension but low amplitude
I have a question concerning belt tension this graph is pretty good imo (it's not that anymore). So it's matched but low amplitude, but as soon I turn it up my lower belt start fading (overtension). What could explain being so low on amplitude yet being on the verge of overtension. Will try to get back to a graph similar.
It's getting mind boggling because before redoing the loom and the wires in the box I printed and I was higher in amplitude

Can you share some pictures of the machine? Belt path, Toolhead,
For the belt path I don't have some on hand I'll post some when I get home
@Cruz
How are those Y belts attached? π
I guess you are still doing the coreXY belts tune, before installing the hybrid belts, as you should! πͺ
They aren't on at the moment since I need to get that graph in line
But I got curious anywaysπ
First of all, remove them entirely, one less thing to vibrate
They securely fixed with masking tape π
Here we go
Use a zip tie in the front to fix the hot end wires, as I pointed in the perfectly round circle
I sadly broke it with a zip tie that was too girthy
Use the zip tie slot in the middle ebb42 mount, it's kinda hidden, in the bottom, where it meets the aluminum plate (middle arrow)
Ye
And clean the beacon cable better along with the 4029 wires
Wire management ok the Toolhead is mandatory to eliminate 90-110Hz vibrations
There is only the hotend wires that can't really be tied down with normal attach point
I could zip tie the hotend wires to the front fan shroud ?
@Cruz my main problem is that my amplitude is low and that I'm on the verge of overtension
Uhm, maybe
Can you do a new graph?
I can but it's allover the place I played with it last weekend
I kinda have to take it from the start
Here is the first one
second one
third one
fourth
Fifth
Sixith its getting there
Seventh one amplitude is going down
Eight
10th matching but low amplitude
Higher amplitude still matching, moving it bit by bit
Found out my top belt was a teeth too short
It's out of wack now π₯²
I dont know what to do I can match peak but amplitude low and when I try to go past the 1.2 e6 threshold it suddenly dips and I try to adjust teeth but letting on slip in the front of the upper belt I get back to square one
this is the current state of the machine? IMO past graphs are irrelevant, as you can't revert the assembly and reproduce them
@Cruz The current is back to square one as I slipped a.teeth thinking It match my peaks and could escape low amplitude
why do you think that's low aplitude?
looks good to me
every machine is different but I don't see major issues with the amplitude
With that graph I was getting 8000ish MVZ on my X and 2000 on my Y
Doesn't the amplitude affect those value?
I've seen people getting way higher values than me
I may spouting nonsense feel free to correct me π
I may be looking at the scale wrongly, but it seems about the same

My guess is the IS is giving you the low acc due to all the vibrations
Could I set it to stop the IS before the vibration to get a potential accel when I get rid of those ?
after cleaning the toolhead wiring, and the belt grapsh again, if you are not happy, I advice you to use the resonance analysis tool
not really
It's not clean enough ? For the wires I mean?
There could be something loose screw wise also ?
if there is, the resonance tool will tell you
hows the belt graph looking now?
Messed up since I slipped a teeth but won't be able to make new since I'm going on vacation tomorrow π
oh well, are you able to go on vacation and not think about it? π
Most likely
I just saw another user graph for the same size printer as mine I don't think the result of mine is normal
@Cruz I'm back from my vacations on the flight back I was thinking is there a possibility that a motor as gon bad ?
nah, if a motor was bad the machine wouldn't move preperly
True so rn im think of undoing and redoing my motors stack
Do you think that the heavy idlers would help ?
the heavy idlers provide a more durable solution, if your idlers are new, I don't see a reason for them to cause this
Okok hmmmm I'm truly bamboozled by this one
So rebuilding them stacks would it be a waste of time ?
IMO yes, unless something is wrongly assembled
how's the belt graph looking so far?
Been unpacking and doing laundry haven't touch it yet so I don't remember how it last looked
But I remember to have tried something and was sent back to square one π
@Cruz Got my amplitude higher this time i wasnt giving it enough beans on the tension
Great! Happy to hear
but still in the tunning phase sometime its too much so back it out a bit, you know that dance
@Cruz I'm not touching it anymore I'm welding everything in place
