cuz it's exactly 64 blocks too high on the lod
will have to wait for a dev though cuz i don't know for sure what's causing this
thats likely due to the afformentioned mod deepening caves by 64 blocks
what's the lowest Y level in the world?
-128 (placeable)
if i were to guess it's from the minimum lod level always being -64 in 1.17+

i can replicate the issue
it is also the cause of the trees without leaves, as you can see in the screenshot
it does not happen, btw, if you load up a new world with infinity caves and DH. only when infinity caves is added later
I think this is a known bug
all cave gen mods that go below the normal world depth break the mod totally
not documented afaik

i just took the 4 close region files and stuffed them into a new world
so theres a 64x64 chunk square around spawn where this happens but its whatever cuz we're just doing stuff in creative for now

people have been having issues with Alex's caves which does the same thing
those issues popularly regard its custom biome lighting
cannot find a single thing on cave carving being displaced
welp, since this isn't the only cave mod breaking things then I think it's safe to assume cave generation mods screw things up more often than not

i launched 1.20.2 with infinity caves mod
and it works just fine š¤·āāļø
