/slowgen
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)try the second part
seems to be working, just slow
what is your cpu load at?
How do I check that
i mean the cpu load setting in dh's settings
Itβs at aggressive
what cpu do you have?
lol, are you playing minecraft on a server?
how much ram have you allocated to minecraft?
I have 15gb allocated
No
this is your main pc?
Yeah
why in the world do you need 32 cores
I donβt know I didnβt build it
how fast are chunks generating? it will always be quite slow as DH relies on minecrafts world gen which is pretty slow
It doesnβt seem like theyβre generating at all really
Only does when I move towards it but when I go away it gets weird
what is your cpu load at in task manager?
Well it says 100%
hhmm, so it is doing something
can you send a screenshot of minecraft with F3?
I had dh on fabric and it worked fine, until it completely broke
it looks like everything is working fine, so its weird that it is not. what is your mods list?
Nothing, I removed everything
can you send logs? maybe ill see something weird in there
/logsstored
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.Itβs fine, I just wanna play the game donβt feel like messing with mods trying to get them to work anymore, thank you for taking your time to help meπ
alright, sorry i couldn't help
