The zone name provided is subject to a hold which disallows the creation of this zone
The current provider is using AWS DNS and I really just need to transfer it so be able to make changes to DNS on behalf of the customer. All they really have there is two A name records, which I can replicate but I cannot move the domain into cloudflare.
The current team hosting the website have no idea why it's happening so I'm a bit out of luck with getting them to remove the hold.
I assume I could probably take out their custom dns name servers, drop in some cloudflare ones, let cloudflare check it and then quickly smash in the A records I need?

I assume dns propergation time might be an issue in this situation though, right?

That error means the domain is currently linked to an Enterprise zone, the owners of said Enterprise zone simply need to disable the zone hold toggle on the dashboard
Problem is that no one knows who would have linked it, both us or the customer
If it's currently not on cloudflare DNS (which it isn't) how long does it take to timeout from a cloudflare account before it can be re-added to another one
I don't think it will time out, assuming it is subject to a hold
Hmm in that situation is it best to raise a ticket with the team to have it removed? How is that even done without a business level account?

If you try to create a ticket, does it let you do so, or does it only allow you to post to the community?
A ticket is the best option, Support has procedures for handling these

I have full ownership of the domain, as well as DNS but cannot add to cloudflare still

I hadn't heard from the team since I added the DNS records for verification and followed up with them. I heard back that it's been migrated to Salesforce from Zendesk and I should reach out to the team. My CF account doesn't seem to be linked with salesforce either, when I login to support it tries to redirect me and then fails. SF case number is 00990358
what's the error you get when it tries to redirect you?
