Hi, dash-team. Problem: I have a surface scatter lawn with a spline for object masking. As you can see in the screenshots the grass objects following a straight line from spline point to spline point instead of the curve. The middle spline point has curved tangents the two other points have curve custom tangents. I tried it also with linear and curveclamped tangents without success. The spline is imported from 3ds Max.

Yeah it seems like we didn't expose the curve resampling value when using a curve for object masking :thinkies: will make sure that we add this in the next update! In the meantime, I reckon your best bet would be to resample your curve in 3DS so as to have more points. Thanks for bringing this up btw 🙏 totally slipped through the cracks

Too many strange things seem to happen....really want this software to work, still in a Trial...but feel I'm beta testing the software 😦 Just installed 1.7.1 opened a project I've been working on and 10 of the 32 assets show up in the content library. Re-open said project and they all show up once again. Ugh... Similar update type issues happen when I import models to be tagged...have to re-open Unreal for them to show up and have the option to be computed for tags. On my other thread there looks to be some code for logging some errors....I'll try that...but can't imagine I'm the only one trying to use this system mainly for the content library aspect of it, am I? It's the one main thing I want to work super solid honestly. Really hoping I can begin to get a great experience, that is consistent for a production environment soon....as I bet my trial goes away in another couple of weeks.

Should I have to add an external project under preferences EVERY time I open a project? Was hoping a particular Unreal project could have a preference to which folders/external projects I want added to that projects library. As of now, I'm having to tick on and off which ones I want every time I open a project. In the end I may just use the Automatically Add all external projects...but would be nice if each unreal project could have it's own DASH preference file that saved which external projects were added.

So your path scatter tool has a curve to scatter on, and a tree to scatter, but it isn't showing the trees? Does that happen if you try to scatter a simple cube? Lastly, perhaps increasing the scatter density makes the tree appear?

The Density Resolution properties should give you a bit more control over your density. The workflow right now is really not great, and in the upcoming release we've revamped it from the ground up to give you much more control.
