Low visual quality
hey there! im looking for settings in distant horizons to make distant blocks look just a bit better, because atm i can notice the extreme lack of detail without having to look too hard. are there settings i can change to maybe make the textures better, or at least lose quality at further distances where i wont notice as much?

Lod chunks can not have textures
You can increase the quality using the quality setting in the dh settings
Noise settings will make them look a lot better, if you search "noise" in this discord theres a guy here who posts his good noise settings
what channel would it be in? im seeing a lot of unrelated results if i just search for noise
i found out my main issue though. im playing on a multiplayer server with a server render distance of about 8, so it looks worse than in singleplayer, since my client only renders in those 8 chunks when in survival i usually render in the closest 16.
maybe there could be a way to save chunks in a similar way to how it already does for multiplayer worlds just at a higher resolution? id be willing to sacrifice some folder space for that.
of course i realize thats not very well optimized but perhaps it could be an option for those that are willing to be a little less optimized

Bobby/farsight can let you load higher render distance than the server's 8
Dont think bobby and farsight are too kind on your fps though
But 8 render really is low
is that an addon mod?
Yep, "bobby reforged" for forge or just "bobby" for fabric or "farsight" for forge
Bobby loads the extra chunks to your ssd, farsight i think loads them temporarily on ram? Prefer bobby
I would use bobby because far sight is known to have caused a few issues with distant horizons before
