DH LODS Not rendering
I've downloaded the newest version of DH for fabric. Sadly, my render distance doesn't go up when I enable Rendering. Does anyone know how to fix this?

can you send a screenshot without any overlays active?
or just f3, thats also fine
Rendering off
Rendering on
When I turn on "Only render LODs" it shows me no chunks
weird
/slowgen
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)can you try the second part of the second part
and tell me if you see any boxes?
Ive turned these settings on
And when I move I dont see any boxes
can you try with just DH and see if that works?
As in taking everything out besides DH here? Or keep Indium?
take out everything
except DH
Ill try that
DH works now
thats really weird. the mods in the mod list should work just fine with DH
maybe it has to do with them being in the "iris reserved" folder?
oh you used the iris installer?
that can be a pain in the butt sometimes
I used the one that complementary shaders installs for you
just installing it manually is both easier and will just work
you can also use a third party minecraft launcher like the modrinth app or prism to make it even easier
I have never used those third party apps. So I need to install everything manually and then put everything in the mod folder?
yes, if you want to keep using the normal minecraft launcher, first up you will have to install fabric, then add the mods manually to the mods folder
Ill go try that now then, Thanks for the help!
np!
Do I add the mods in the minecraft "mods" folder or in fabric's "processed mods"?
the mods folder
Ive downloaded fabric and opened its loader, i only have dh in the " mods" folder, but it doesnt show up
wait, ill try something
I made a folder "1.21" and put it in there, ill try without a folder
Everything works now, thank you!
nice!
There is another problem now though, the complementary reimagined clouds dont render
waot now theyre back
its fixed when pressing F11
oh thats weird
thanks for the help again 🤝
