Inverted Colors in Apps on Steam Deck
Hello!
Since updating yesterday on Steam deck to the newest available version, I'm getting colors that seem to be BGR output instead of RGB. Did I accidentally toggle a setting somehow or is this a bug?

I've got this too on my ally running GNOME, only seems to be in one game thus far so I'm not sure how to debug it
i am having this issue on Emulationstation as well! I wonder if its related
is "Baba is you" an OpenGL game by any chance?
I am on KDE btw, I don't think its tied to a DE configuration, im wondering if there is an issue with the graphics driver if it was updated at all
i tried it on my HTPC and colors look normal
I'm going to try to update to see if it works
yes updating to the latest bazzite reproduces this issue, furthermore, the colors on the "verifying steam installation" splash screen on boot with gamemode colors also have blue/red swapped
everything else is normal
The problem was happening in Emulation Station for me as well. I rolled back to the 6.30 version and it's functioning right. So definitely something in the update
i did notice there were some patches for display between 6/30 and 7/3, i wonder if any of those can be the culprit
great! i guess now we just need to wait for the devs to sort this out then
odd, I'll see if I can reproduce this
I have noticed it here too, on the steam deck icon splash moving back to gamescope and in Nested Desktops Wallpaper and desktop icons
Same here but doesn't seem to be affecting any games I tried unlike for others, for me it's ONLY the boot update screen and the desktop icons/wallpaper (but notably only when in Nested Desktop, it's fine on normal Desktop Mode and doesn't affect anything else like the Taskbar in both)
Oh, I just ran into this issue on
Soul Nomad & the World Eaters
on both Bazzite installs on my Decks. I thought it was something I did with that game, as it happened right after I orginally changed from Borderless Fullscreen
to Fullscreen
. Doing a fresh install of the game, deleting proton, shader cash and even disabling Steam Cloud saves would not help the color problem for the game.
I just installed and ran the game on my Aurora-DX/steam flatpak on my laptop and the colors were fine, so take that as you will. This appears to be a fun new Mesa bug
There's a patch I can ship to correct it, but copr is down
So it'll be a bit of a wait
Mesa build is done
Testing is building with it now
If nothing implodes I'll do a stable build of it
Solution
Thank you so much, updated to the new image and the colors are fine again.
confirmed as well to be working
thanks a bunch!
Works for me too. thanks!
