doesn't make lods for unexplored chunks
I created a new singleplayer world, waited and stood still for 10 minutes for the lods to load, but they didn't. I have Distant Generation on, and I tried raising the CPU load higher, but lods still won't load. I checked task manager and when I increase cpu load the cpu utilization wasn't going higher. I first have to explore chunks and then once I get far away, the mod starts creating lods for those explored chunks. Was it always like this?

This is my mods folder btw
I don't know how to access the logs, can someone teach me?
send the file called
latest
or latest.log
/logsstoredYou should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.

If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)you could try the second part
heres latest.txt
so I enable wireframe rendering and world gen queue
I see a few blue and red boxes
and the cpu utilization jumps between 49-59%
cpu load is set to aggressive
I think I can see new chunks being rendered?
but it’s all so slow
now I set the cpu load to I paid for the whole CPU
a lot of blue boxes appeared but the utilization isn’t going much higher
is this like a cpu problem?
sounds like one
can you check your cpu temps?
sounds like your thermal trottling
(you can do that by for example installing HWinfo)
dont see anything weird in logs
