Also "smart casual or whatever" is pretty nebolous. Do you have any inspo of what you are going for?
I will say that pic 1 is better than pic 2 - short sleeved shirts imo look a bit better when they are unbuttoned
I think belt is missing
with the Belt It would look more complete

i kept wondering why i looked so much worse in the other pic but couldn't pin point

Okay i have a few questions:
1. Is it possible to get shirts altered? For example this one is too wide, maybe a little tailored would look better
2. The pants in the pictures above are dark, dark brown (the brown is visible in good lighting) but i have another pair of pants thats like this, its slighlty slimmer (regardless of what the pic may make u believe), which one do u think would look better with the same shirt as above?
On a side note i dont wanna look like an office guy btw
i want it to look casual and laid back yet clean
which one is more towards that direction

yes, shirts can be altered, but i actually think the loose flow you have is quite nice currently. it's more casual, but that's a good vibe here

i need to get the brown pants slightly tightened near the waist, because i have lost more weight now than i had when i got it tightened last time lol

you could send more pictures not in mirror reflections if that's the concern, but no, i don't see that as a uniform, and i personally like that color combo more, but that's just a matter of preference -- not saying it's "right"
