For shampoo which ingredients are worst and does SLS really bad for hair ? I have oily scalp.

Like In 2-3 days my hair gets greasy. Which ingredients I should look for or avoid ?

A lot weill depend on your hair type, wha if any styling products you use, the cut you have etx. Generally. That said, Silicones are particularly bad for leaving your hair looking initially good, than built up and greasy a day or two later. Try to avoid sulfates as they will dry your hair out really badly as well

if you also have dandruff problems like i do, i’d suggest nizoral, and then follow it up after rinsing with a clarifier. granted i have mostly straight hair though, and i can only imagine how much my hair and scalp might be affected by the fact that i’ve got estrogen going on so your results may vary this hasn’t made my cycle to grease any longer, but it has made de-greasing far easier

if you're only washing your hair every 2-3 days and it's getting greasy in between, it could be any combination of - needing to be washed more frequently (possibly just using a co-wash or conditioner) - using too much or the 'wrong' kinds of product for your hair and scalp - occasionally needing a cleansing shampoo (i use Ouai but I'm sure there are comparable/better/cheaper options)

It's normal for your hair to get oily when you go without washing it, but if it's getting like overly greasy to the point where it's causing any sort of skin irritation or styling issue then yeah limiting your use of shampoo can help. SLS and other sulfates are what make shampoos foamy and they can actually work too well and strip your scalp of the oils it uses to keep that skin healthy. It can increase production of oils as a reaction to that, so reducing your use of shampoos with sulfates and reducing your use of shampoo in general can help your scalp transition back to a normal oil production.

I understand the sulfate/silicone thing to be that they kind of work in conjunction—silicone makes it smooth and shiny but then you need a harsher shampoo with sulfates to wash it out. Conversely, if you use a sulfate shampoo regularly your hair will be too dry without a silicone conditioner. Point being, the others’ advice about less sulfate shampoo is good, and you might want to also look for a non-silicone conditioner as well.

I would definitely recommend it. Co-wash just means use a conditioner like it’s shampoo. Silicone-free ones are better for this. There are some cheap ones—I just use Garnier Fructis Pure Clean, but there are tons of others. If you’re hair is super dry you might want to use a silicone one occasionally? You’ll have to experiment! If it’s really worrisome it’d be worth it to check in with a doctor/dermatologist if you can

what U think about leave in conditioner ? I mean Its not that bad actually lol but when I look at the mall mirrors It looks awful when I shop clothes etc. but for normal mirrors It looks okay to me

Worth trying! Leave-in is usually an additional product for after you shower. First though, I would still get regular conditioner for after you shampoo.

what If I can only get one should I get leave in conditioner or normal one

Normal. I’d get one new thing at a time, try it for a bit and see what it does. You go changing a ton of stuff at once you won’t know what product is doing what

I’m no hair expert, but that probably doesn’t make much of a difference health-wise. Split ends are a thing, but it’s not dramatic imo

ow yeah I agree with you. Also I couldnt find the conditioner u recommended in my country but I found a conditioner* with garlic extract. It says it is odorless, I hope so.:xd: and It says silicone free like u say
