Hello guys, I founded Novu while I was doing some research about notification services. My question is, what kind of authentication is included and supported? Is it possible to connect an idp?

Would you like to share more about requirements related to IDP?
Are you looking SSO for login or looking something else?
I have two requirements: First, I have to authenticate applications with a key before they can generate/send messages. This is done by an external service, but Novu must include this logic. Second, when a user retrieves his messages, I receive a token that must be verified against the IDP before the messages are delivered.
Additionally, my IDP provides group memberships. I need to be able to send a message to an IDP group.
Is novu suitable for this? are these features implemented?

1. Novu can't be connected to an IDP out of the box but with the right custom integration it can, depending on the use case.
2. Triggering Novu notifications is a machine to machine call. That is, post authentication, your server can make a secure trigger call. So, novu meet this requirements
3. The second requirement about authentication before message retrieval can be achieved via another machine to machine call, similarly to 2. If youwant to do the same via a frontend channel (our Notification center, or new Inbox) we need to know what IDP they are using and then suggest the right solution.
4. Group memberships are a good use case for topics. you will need to prepare & sync the necessary topics and map them to the IDP groups.

Hey, sry for delayed respone and thanks a lot for the information. I am currently on research for software solutions and I'll give you a sign if Novu is an option. Then we can go into further detail. In any case, I believe that Novu meets the requirement with a few modifications and additional software. Thank you again for the great support! This will definitely be taken into account in our decision.
