I'm rebuilding my wardrobe
I bought these items;
Light blue linen shirt
Plain white shirt
Black Flannel check shirt
Navy blue corduroy Shirt ( it's just a texture, the material isn't that thick)
Midnight Blue Denim
Navy Blue Jeans
Olive Chinos
Khaki Chino ( mid shade; in between beige and tan)
Here are some items i already have and they fit decently
Navy chinos
Biege chinos
Black cotton twill trouser
White jeans (a bit tight)
Too many pairs of jeans but most of them are tight and majority of them are light washed
Grey textured shirt
White linen as well as a couple of designer and textured shirt
Some basic half sleeve tees ( Burgundy, black etc)
White minimal sneakers ( quality is bad)
Biege Chelsea
Black polo
I'm thinking of buying these;
Stripped shirt ( but which one? Close pattern or the trendy ones with different colour stripes?)
A solid emerald green or dark blue shirt?
Biege or maybe dark brown t shirt or something else? Because i don't think that I've earth tone shirts or t-shirts.
Short and long sleeve Henleys? I think short sleeve Henley looks better and a full sleeve round neck?
I don't need suits and I'm settled for the winters because I've decent sweatshirts and hoodies on top of that, winters don't last too long.

I think you don't need to buy any of those things on your thinking-of-buying list
(especially the henleys - these are probably a pretty dated look now and imo short sleeve henleys have always looked bad)
I think the best advice at this stage is stop buying things and wear your new stuff for a while
You'll come to see which aspects of it you like, and discover what things you might be missing as you go along. But buying loads of stuff at once is nearly always a recipe for regret
Yeah. Developing a taste for what you like is a really iterative process.
Like most of the things that I got towards the beginning of my fashion journey are slowly on their way out of my closet, bc I have developed a better understanding of what works for me and what does not. Which is not a huge deal, bc most of it was inexpensive stuff I got at the thrift.
Take it slow and don't overcommit.
What about a striped shirt? I don't have any of them and I'm also missing earth tones. Maybe one piece would be a good idea? Or perhaps i should get regular shoes since my white sneakers are worn out and Chelsea's aren't that good for regular wear.
Me too! That's why I'm rebuilding it. Not to mention that it's easy to pair things when you have less items.
I guess what I mean is: no-one needs a striped shirt or an earth-tone t-shirt
If there's outfits you would love to wear that include a striped shirt, sure go ahead! I'm also sure there's plenty of people in here who don't currently own a striped shirt
Don't feel like you need to buy certain things just to tick a box of 'wardrobe completion' though!
What sort of occassion / context are you looking to dress for? Is it workplace outfits? Going out with friends?
You're right, i think there's a reason that i don't have them, i think i look good on a solid shirt. And the striped pattern i like, i don't think it'll look good on a shirt. For example; here is an image and I have a similar pullover but the colour is white and dark blue and it really looks good and i think it's because of the texture, weight and fit. Thx a lot! You saved me lots of money!
I've gotten compliments too many times and that was before watching any guide. When it comes to shopping, my family always liked my taste and they always asked me to buy their clothes but after watching guides ( must have items, wearing colours according to your skin etc) i got so confused but now I'm back on my track and it's because of you guys!
Awesome, yeah dude trust your tastes and your instincts! Sounds like you've got a good eye for it
And you have great advice!
