This pack doesnt have DH Support, yet shaders are disabled.
I wanted to try out Distnat Horizons on a modpack mainly focused on exploration (Create Chronicles: Bosses and Beyond). I was originally using the built in shader "MakeUp-UltraFast-8.8f". Which is why i assume this error was thrown.
However, i've already disabled the shader and they're Disabled according to Oculus 1.7.0. Yet i continue to recieve this error.
The modpack runs on version 1.20.1, and i am using version 21.2-a of DH

Ah go into you alex's caves config and disable this "biome_ambient_light_coloring"

Check your oculus/iris shaders pack setting. It may have an interal shaders setting turned on/shaders may be turned on even without a shader enabled

Do you have optifine installed? Or a shaders mod in general?
Afaik the modpack only has Oculus, doesnt use optifine
it does use Rubidium tho

well, error is gone but now i dont thi9nk its working regardless?
I thought it was due to my low render distance in settings (6), i bumped it up to 32, yet i dont think the LOD for the structure in the far distance (A ship) is working
since part of it is being unloaded
Also, i was mistaken, it doesnt use Rubidium, it uses Embeddium
Since the 1.12 version of DH isn't supported, it may still be conflicting with other mods. Possibly embeddium

i also have supplementaries installed, which.... apparently causes lighting issues

So with that being the case you most likely didn't need to remove oculus then. You probably just had shaders turned on with any shaders being installed and it gave a false error

if thats the case i'll probably try to find a shader that works with DH, mainly for the dynamic lighting with torches, lol
I always enjoy complementary. Good on fps and looks stunning
But if you can afford something a little more cpu heavy. I absolutely love me some rethinking voxels
CPU is my bottleneck in my current setup so i'd probably go for something light
