How to change menu music in my resource packΒΏ

Im doing a resource pack for my server changing the background and music in the menu, i already got the background working, but sometimes plays the music i put in my resourcepack and sometimes uses the game base tracks. Is there any way to just play the custom tracks?

the music files are found in assets\minecraft\sounds\music I assume you already have started a resource pack and know what that means, if not, just ask and I can help Sorry I didn't read the full thing

Afaik if you don't want any base tracks you have to replace all of them in your resource pack

hi, sry for the late @Arthurmeade12, thats what i tried at first copyin the same track multiple times and changing its names to menuX.ogg being X the number of the track in my custom resourcepack, i made like 20 copies and i have to say it started to sound the custom track more frecuently but still appearing the in game tracks, wanted to ask if u knew the exact name of tracks i have to duplicate until the original tracks dissapear or maybe somewhere i can find that info sorry for the ping also

If you are using 1.21, then you need to have a sounds.json file in your pack Overriding the original

does audio in older resource packs work still? or would you have to update it with the new file for sounds to work?

not sure, but the sounds.json file is required for 1.21 at least to make changes to the music tracks sound effects are still as is, you don't need that
