Battle metrics pings failing even though server is pinging fine on every and any tool I can find
Im at a loss. My battlemetrics server is failing the ping test, but every other ping from everywhere else is fine.

Pings aren't important so I wouldn't worry about that.
its showing my server as 0 out of 0 players, and the name doesnt change
even though my server has 80 pus people on it
Provide the server URL? It's probably not getting queried
Not responding to queries.
yes, but it should be
so heres the deal
before it would show player count, but the name wouldnt update
so I deleted the previous Rcon, and then established a new one
now player count doesnt show up
no port/info or anything was changed on server end before the issues started to occur
There is no active RCON connection to the server
DB says disconnected
here is me in my Rcon panel
So try a couple things.
1) Update your RCON connection settings
2) Set your server to public. Public is currently set to 0 in the query response so we're treating it as a private server and not processing the query. Public must be set to true.
can i recieve exact instructions on how to do both?
updating the Rcon previously did nothing
hence why i tried to just delete and re add entirely
Update it again. It's not going to hurt
10-4! will do and figure it out shortly
so i changed it to public, even did a server restart, updated the Rcon info and it still shows no players
Server is now responding to queries, but the RCON connection is in a connection/disconnect loop. No errors
Don't know what's causing the loop, but I don't think it's on our end
Can do some testing but make sure you have set your firewall rules up to allow RCON traffic to the appropriate ports
will do
what would the IP be that Rcon traffic would be coming from?
so I can try to setup an exemption
I dont have anything specifically blocked on our end.
All IPs are listed on the connection settings page
I can also try updating the Rcon itself again
ok i have allowed all the IPs
the name has now finally updated but it is still showing no players online
The players won't show correctly until that RCON connection loop is resolved
RCON takes precedence over queries for that stat
if I delete the Rcon and rehook it would that possibly reset it?
Shouldn't matter.
I don't think it would impact the looping problem
well nothing has changed on my end from before
so im not sure why it would be stuck in a loop
as I had all the rcon stuff working fine 2 days ago
We'll do some testing to make sure it's not the source library we're using but that will take time
well i know id really appreciate it because im at a loss as to what would be causing it
So I deleted the Rcon, and now the player list is showing up
so it all looks good now
