that happens with Optifine sometimes, at least the chunks don't shade all the way

now this is happening (render distance is super low btw but this happens in the edges of the real chunks

No idea about 12400F performance profile, but on average, 128 of DH chunks should generate in 15 minutes.
i have it set to 32 rn
If you move around, that number can easily skyrocket to an hour, depending on how much terrain you traversed.
With how long we've been here, 32 chunks has probably generate by now.

Distant Horizons only loads chunks you've explored on servers
it's totally clientside
No matter how much you tried, the standard version of Distant Horizons works at a limited capacity on servers.
Only chunks you explored will get generated and rendered.

With tuned settings, it should in theory takes about 5 to 10 minutes to fully generate, based on your CPU.
