Flaring on waist area, front of suit jacket
Hello -- I'm not sure if "flare" is the right word for this, but I see that the front of the suit on the button-hole side is not lying flat under where it's buttoned. I'm interested in learning what causes this and what if any alterations I could have done to correct it.
The suit is at the tailor now already, I'm shortening the sleeves to show some cuff and bringing in the waist of the pants a little so it doesn't bunch up when I have a belt on.
Thank you!

To fully correct this the jacket would basically need to be remade. A side-profile will likely show that the skirt is wrong along with other minor fit issues like the buttoning point being too high.
Overall the suit is more than serviceable and to fix those issues you'd have to go with a v skilled MTM suit at best and might have to iterate as well (have multiple jackets made). I wouldn't worry about it too much personally
Here is a side-profile. Can you help me understand the point about the skirt being wrong, and the buttoning point? Thank you.
See how the skirt is level on this guy compared to yours
The bottom isn’t level. The buttoning point is a bit too high and so it’s pulling the jacket
I see now, thank you. Is there anything a tailor can do with either leveling the bottom or anything with the buttoning point?
Not really unfortunately
