Time to get a new sole on these. I should probably brush them too

I don’t know where the other shoe is. I think one of my kids hid it.

Burning hot take: I don't think super worn-in high contrast raw faded denim looks particularly good. Dark denim looks good on its own, and is fine with a little whiskering. Beyond that, I'd rather just have, like, a lighter wash.

I need to get more comfortable with my clothes showing wear so I’m happy or see what more gets posted here

My favourite pair is these reeally beat up old carhartts, which I had to patch up multiple huge holes on to make them wearable (including sewing the whole back panel back on on one side). I left the pocket ribbon hanging cause I thought it was a kinda cool feature

I bought a pre-knackered pair and have been learning how to patch and repair on it using Casey's guide.

Some viberg slippers I wore for three summers in a row. They’ve just been sitting the last couple years in the garment bag and I need to get them fixed up. The sole has pretty massive holes

Pair of Iron Rangers in "bitter chocolate" that I've had for over a decade. Haven't been conditioned recently and could kind of use it.

A "cream" colored Valstarino jacket. I really love how this thing has aged. I wish it fit me better...

Also really like how this pair of blue weft jeans has faded over the years, one of my favorites for summer

These are some macro shots of my pair of Warehouse jeans. Photos were taken a couple of months ago. They're even more toasted now. I will spare you my amateur sew job to repair the broken crotch stitches.

Same deal for my TCB pair. They're wider so fades and wear is slower. Electric blues are starting to pop more now, two months after these photos

These are my pride and joy in terms of how wear and tear can make something more beautiful. Rancourt Ranger Mocs in natural, unglazed shell. Then (2020) vs now

did these just naturally darken with wear or did you use anything?

I’ve used Saphir a few times to condition them, but this is mostly wear

awesome, I got a pair of loake's recently that are closer to your pic of the original. Saphir darkened them a little but good to know I just need to wear them in

Kicking wet leaves helps a lot with the process
