How can I best disable villagers and other farms in a server?
Having a great time dealing with this kinda thing, server doesn't lag from it but with enough people doing it sure will...
The villager thing is just for balance, I was considering having Mythicmobs replace Villagers with say, Zombies.

Admittedly I was a bit vague, I meant limiting the number of animals that can be confined in a small space like this, perhaps with limitations per chunk

it could only mean your hardware is shit
villagers are decently laggy entities
extremely laggy honestly
a server lagging because of too much villager processing is a real concern
It doesn't lag atm, i'm just trying to prevent any further issues by nipping potential problems in the bud
Looking at the way some people play the game (300 entities for a single claim) makes me cringe inside
Like sure I could ignore it until it becomes a big deal but I doubt leaving the issue for weeks before suddenly wiping things will be better than putting in a fix early

does the same thing as farm limiter, but also lets u disable ai of the mobs in the farms
villagers are a pretty heavy entity
one of the few entities with brain ticks
DAB can help immensely, but also messes with mechanincs
I notice that the plugin requires Java 17, does it mean it is not 1.20.4 supported?
I know there was Java 21 for the latest versions but not sure which

So farmcontrol may still be better either way
Plugins compiled on older versions generally work on newer versions
And 1.20.5/6+ is when Java 21 was a requirement

I hear the recommended upgrade strategy is camp on 1.20.4 till 1.21 plugin updates are mostly out and then jump straight to it

U should be looking to go to 1.20.6
Java 21 requirement doesnβt break most plugins, and youβll be lucky (well unlucky) if u have one that does break strictly because of the Java version
most plugins also already support 1.20.6
and ur missing hella exploits/bugs fixes by being on such an old version
My ptero panel only supports up to 1.20.1 and i'm not sure how to update :/

I mean, you can lobotomize villagers if players are too far away, but unsure if that would cause people to get upset...
