All of a sudden Wrangler keeps opening a browser tab and asking for account access?
This hasn't happened for months - yet from Thursday last week, and continuing today, it keeps doing this. I make a change to my local code, and Wrangler opens a tab showing the attached. Not on every save, but perhaps 1 in every 20.
I've clicked the button and got the confirmation screen multiple times but it keeps happening, and even if I just dismiss the browser tab and carry on working it makes no real difference - I can still work and test my worker.
Why does this keep appearing?

CF support has really got a bit poor lately. We're paying for this - could someone please answer these threads, otherwise what's the point of this Discord channel?
This Discord server is staffed by volunteers, employees or otherwise. We answer questions if/when we are able
For paid support, there is
?support
To contact Cloudflare Support about an issue, please visit the Support Portal and fill in the form on the portal. After submission, you will receive confirmation over email.
Some issues, such as Account or Billing related issues, cannot be solved by the community.
Any plan level (including Free plans) can open tickets for Account, Billing or Registrar ticket categories. Make sure to select the correct category to ensure it goes to the right place.
For more information on the methods by which you can contact Support for your plan level, see Contacting Cloudflare Support - Cloudflare Docs
Thank you. Not sure how employees are volunteers, but I take your point that it may not be the ideal medium to get paid support. It can be frustrating when threads mothball, I'm sure you can appreciate.
Employees here are volunteers in the sense that, other than the community managers, any Orange Clouded People(Cloudflare Employees) are here of their own volition
They answer questions when they are willing and able. They are not a direct replacement for Support
Right, I didn't realise that. It seemed reasonable to infer that if CF offers a Discord channel then it's a proper form of support. I'll use the proper support channel following what you've told me.
That aside, would you happen to know anything about my issue?
Confusingly wrangler issues also have their own home on GitHub Issues too, there is a lot of places to get help and which one suits which case is very hard to determine. Paid ticket support is always a good idea if you have it though, since there's more guarentees around it and they can refer to more appropriate places if need be.
But anyway,
Are you using local dev (the default) or --remote? Also, what happens if you use
wrangler whoami
, does it prompt a login or just tell you info about what you're logged in as?I'm using
--remote
. And whoami
brings up my email and account ID.
It's not happened so far today, but happened many times yesterday. It seems to happen in bursts, then not at all for weeks on end.Hm thats strange
The debug logs during a time when it happens would be most valuable here, I'm not 100% clued in on how you collect those these days, in the past it was setting
WRANGLER_LOG=debug
Ah OK, perhaps when it starts happening again I'll switch on logging and submit it to paid support, then
Like I say, though, it doesn't seem to affect anything, even if I just close down the browser tab that Wrangler opens
(Really appreciate the help, BTW.)
